These Terms & Conditions apply to all dog walking, home boarding, home pet visit, feeding visit, medication visit, assessment and related pet care services provided by Home from Home Boarding Maghull.

By making a booking with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Who We Are

Home from Home Boarding Maghull provides dog walking, home boarding and home pet visit services in Maghull, Liverpool and surrounding areas.

Business name: Home from Home Boarding Maghull\

  1. Services We Provide

We may provide the following services:

Dog walking
Home dog boarding
Home pet visits
Feeding visits
Medication support visits
Assessment or trial sessions
Pick-up and drop-off services

All services are subject to availability, suitability and prior agreement.

  1. Enquiries and Bookings

All bookings must be agreed in advance.

An enquiry does not guarantee a booking. A booking is only confirmed once we have accepted it and any required payment, deposit or booking information has been received.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if we feel the service is not suitable for the pet, owner, household, environment or our own safety.

  1. Meet and Greets

A meet and greet may be required before dog walking, home boarding or home visit services.

This allows us to meet you and your pet, understand your pet’s routine, behaviour, medical needs and care requirements, and decide whether the service is suitable.

For home boarding and some dog walking services, an assessment or trial session may be required before a longer booking is accepted.

  1. Assessment / Trial Sessions

Assessment or trial sessions are charged at the current advertised rate.

The purpose of an assessment is to understand your dog’s behaviour, routine, comfort level and suitability for the requested service.

Completing an assessment does not automatically guarantee future bookings.

  1. Owner Responsibilities

You agree to provide full, honest and accurate information about your pet before any service begins.

This includes information about:

Health conditions
Medication
Diet and feeding routine
Behaviour issues
Anxiety or separation issues
Aggression or bite history
Escape attempts
Lead behaviour
Recall
Reactivity towards dogs, people, children or traffic
Vaccination, flea and worming status

Vet details

You must tell us immediately if any of this information changes.

Failure to disclose important information may result in cancellation of the booking.

  1. Health, Vaccinations and Parasite Control

Pets must be in good general health before using our services.

Dogs should be up to date with vaccinations, flea treatment and worming treatment, unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to refuse care for any pet showing signs of contagious illness, parasites, sickness, injury or any condition that may put other pets, people or the pet itself at risk.

  1. Dog Behaviour and Suitability

We aim to provide calm, safe and caring services.

We reserve the right to refuse, stop or cancel a service if a pet shows behaviour that we believe is unsafe, unsuitable or beyond what we can reasonably manage.

This may include aggression, serious anxiety, destructive behaviour, excessive barking, escape behaviour, severe reactivity or any behaviour that places people, pets or property at risk.

  1. Dog Walking

Dog walks may be solo or with carefully matched dogs, depending on your dog’s needs and our availability.

Dogs will only be walked off lead if this has been agreed in writing and we are satisfied it is safe to do so.

We may shorten, delay or adapt walks due to weather, illness, injury, traffic, pet behaviour, safety concerns or other circumstances beyond our control.

In hot weather, icy weather or severe conditions, walks may be changed to shorter walks, shaded walks, comfort breaks or home visits for the safety of the dog.

  1. Home Boarding

Home boarding is offered as a home-from-home service where dogs are cared for in a calm home environment.

Owners must provide accurate information about the dog’s routine, sleeping arrangements, feeding, toilet habits, behaviour and medical needs.

Owners may be asked to provide food, medication, bedding, leads, harnesses, toys or other items needed for the stay.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel boarding if the dog is unsuitable, unwell, unsafe or if important information has not been disclosed.

  1. Home Visits

Home visits may include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, short walks, companionship, cat feeding, small pet checks or other agreed care.

For home visits, you must provide safe access to the property, working keys or access instructions, alarm details where needed and any important household safety information.

We are not responsible for issues caused by faulty locks, incorrect keys, inaccessible properties, unsafe access, alarm faults or incorrect instructions.

  1. Medication Support

Medication support is available only by prior agreement.

You must provide clear written instructions, including the medication name, dose, timing, method of administration and any relevant veterinary instructions.

Medication should be provided in its original packaging where possible.

We reserve the right to refuse medication support if we are not comfortable administering it or if instructions are unclear.

  1. Emergency Veterinary Care

You must provide your pet’s normal vet details and an emergency contact.

If we believe your pet needs urgent veterinary attention and we cannot contact you quickly, you authorise us to seek veterinary advice or treatment in your pet’s best interests.

You are responsible for any veterinary fees, treatment costs, transport costs or related expenses.

  1. Payments

Prices will be confirmed before booking.

Payment may be required before, during or after the service, depending on the booking type and what has been agreed.

Accepted payment methods may include cash, bank transfer or other agreed payment methods.

If deposits or advance payments are required, this will be made clear before booking.

  1. Cancellations and Changes

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or change a booking.

Cancellation charges may apply where a booking is cancelled at short notice and we are unable to replace the booking or where costs have already been incurred.

Any cancellation charge will aim to be fair and reflect the circumstances, notice given, service booked and any loss or costs already incurred.

Repeated cancellations may affect future availability.

  1. Late Collection, Access Issues or Delays

If you are late collecting your pet, unavailable for a scheduled handover, or we cannot access your property for a visit, extra charges may apply.

If a pet remains in our care longer than agreed, additional care charges may apply.

  1. Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Pick-up and drop-off may be available by prior agreement and may be charged separately.

Dogs will be transported safely and securely in our car.

You must make sure your dog is ready at the agreed time and that all required items are provided.

  1. Photos and Updates

We may send photo or message updates during your pet’s care where appropriate.

Photos or videos will only be used publicly on our website, social media or marketing if you have given permission.

  1. Personal Belongings

Owners may provide leads, harnesses, bedding, toys, bowls, food or other belongings.

We will take reasonable care of personal items, but we are not responsible for normal wear and tear, damage, loss or soiling of items during pet care.

  1. Liability

We will take reasonable care when looking after your pet.

However, animals can be unpredictable, and you accept that there are natural risks involved in dog walking, home boarding, transport, home visits and pet care.

We are not responsible for loss, injury, illness, damage or costs caused by inaccurate owner information, undisclosed behaviour, undisclosed medical conditions, faulty equipment, unsafe property access or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

  1. Weather, Safety and Service Changes

We may change, shorten, postpone or cancel a service if we believe there is a safety concern.

This may include extreme heat, storms, ice, illness, injury, unsafe behaviour, road issues, access problems or other circumstances beyond our control.

Where possible, we will contact you to discuss suitable alternatives.

  1. Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to resolve the issue fairly.

We aim to deal with concerns calmly, respectfully and promptly.

  1. Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
